As a full time teacher for many years Yolande Oakley has inspired her students with a deep knowledge and understanding of the Visual Arts. Her academic and intellectual rigor is driven by a deep passion for art and its power to transform.
Yolande now lives in Mallacoota and is immersed in her own art making, particularly in the disciplines of painting and printmaking. In her studio located beside the beautiful lake she is inspired to bring a philosophical and poetic perspective to all her work practices.
As a part time teacher and facilitator of printmaking workshops, she displays great strength in motivating and inspiring all participants, resulting in highly resolved, meaningful artmaking. Her inservice courses inspire teachers in their classroom practices as she shares her extensive knowledge and insights.
